The Junior League of Anderson County is holding the fourth annual Electric City Run on Saturday, March 23, at the Anderson Sports and Entertainment Center.
Runners or walkers can participate in a 1 mile or 5K run/walk. A tot trot of approximately 50 yards will also offer the little ones a chance to show their athleticism. Awards will be presented in men and women categories, as well as children in various age groups.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 23, beginning with packet pickup at 7:30 a.m. at the Anderson Sports and Entertainment Center. The race start is located at the soccer field behind the playground. The 1 mile race starts at 8:30 a.m., 5K at 9 a.m. and the tot trot begins at 10 a.m.
The Junior League will use funds raised from the event to support their Team KIDS project. Team KIDS assists youth in purchasing sporting equipment and apparel needed to participate in extra-curricular physical activities – and helps build kindness, integrity, discipline and sportsmanship (KIDS).
